Brexit Update February 2020 – Driving Abroad

In light of the UK leaving the EU on the 31st January 2020, we have now entered an 11 month transition period until 31st December 2020, whereby negotiations will take place to agree a future trading relationship.

Currently, whilst in the transition period, there is no requirement for a Green Card if a policyholder intends to drive within the EU. However in the event of no agreement being reached on the future trading relationship, policyholders driving in the EU will need to ensure that they are carrying a physical Green Card.
