Update to Private Car and Commercial Vehicle Policy Wordings

Our Private Car and Commercial Vehicle policy wordings will be changing for business incepted or renewed with effect from the 1st May 2018.

We have based our policy wording on the likely outcome of the Data Protection Bill. This currently has a derogation for special category data and criminal conviction data. This Bill is currently in the Parliamentary process but the outcome will not be known until April. Should the ruling not be favourable then we will ultimately issue a new policy wording to be used from a later date in May 2018 and advise you accordingly.

Due to the lack of requests for printed stationery, we will no longer be producing printed versions of our policy wordings and would direct you to our policy wordings and IPID's section on the website where our wordings and summaries can be printed or downloaded on demand.

Please ensure that all previous wordings are destroyed after the 30th April 2018.
